We were tasked with creating a unique, hand-drawn promo for the NHL Stadium Series.
From 2D hand-drawn animation to 3D particle simulations, it was an explosive collaboration!
process breakdown
The stadium was animated in 3D. Players were extracted from footage and 2D rotoscoped by hand. Crowd simulations and weather FX were added in last.
